Nowhabit Terms of Use
Effective date: September 13, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Nowhabit iOS app, related website, and support services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Altude ("Altude," "we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance and applicable terms
By downloading the app or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Nowhabit Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Your license to use the iOS app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) and the terms applicable to the App Store. If terms conflict, applicable mandatory law, Apple's terms for transactions and its platform, and these Terms apply in that order to the relevant issue. These Terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under consumer law.
2. The Service
Nowhabit is a habit-recording tool that provides habit creation, schedules, check history, notes, statistics, local reminders, widgets, and optional iCloud sync. There is no separate Altude account or sign-in.
The website provides information, policies, and support for the app and its operator. The Service does not provide medical, health, psychological, or other professional advice.
3. Free features and Premium
Users can currently create up to three active habits for free. Premium removes the active-habit limit and is offered as a lifetime, non-consumable App Store in-app purchase.
The price, currency, tax, and availability shown on the App Store purchase sheet at the time of purchase control. We may change the free limit, price, or product offered to new users in the future. We will honor completed purchases and your rights under mandatory law.
4. Payment, purchase restoration, and refunds
Apple processes all purchases and payments through your Apple Account. Altude does not receive or store your payment-card details.
- Apple handles refund requests and decisions under its policies and procedures.
- You can use Restore Purchases with the same Apple Account to recheck an eligible entitlement.
- A lifetime purchase is a non-consumable license to Nowhabit Premium. It does not promise compatibility with every future device or operating system, the user's natural lifetime, or perpetual operation of the Service. We will honor the purchase and applicable legal rights while the Service is offered.
5. Data, iCloud, and your responsibilities
Habit records are stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your private iCloud database provided by Apple. Altude cannot access those records and does not hold a separate backup.
You are responsible for managing your device, Apple Account, iCloud storage, and important records. Device loss, Apple Account issues, insufficient storage, iCloud outages, deleting the app, sync settings, or operating-system changes may delay sync or cause data loss. See the Privacy Policy for deletion and sync opt-out instructions.
6. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for personal, lawful purposes under these Terms. You may not:
- interfere with or bypass the Service's security or normal operation;
- copy, reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except where the law expressly permits;
- infringe the rights of the Service, website, or others, or burden operations with malware or excessive automated requests; or
- misrepresent the Service or your relationship with Altude.
7. Intellectual property
Altude or its licensors own the app, design, trademarks, logos, copy, and software in the Service. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license only as needed to use the Service. You retain rights in the habit names, notes, and records you enter.
8. Changes and interruption
We may change the Service for improvements, security, legal compliance, or operational needs. Maintenance, Apple service outages, or events beyond our reasonable control may temporarily interrupt parts of the Service. When reasonably possible, we will announce significant changes or discontinuation on the website or in the app.
We will not arbitrarily remove a paid feature without a legitimate reason. If discontinuation makes us unable to provide the essential benefit of a purchase, we will explain remedies available under applicable law and Apple's procedures.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is a general habit-recording tool and does not guarantee any health, productivity, or goal outcome. We operate the Service with reasonable care but cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or loss-free operation on every device.
To the extent permitted by law, Altude limits liability for unforeseeable or indirect loss. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including damage caused by our willful misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer rights.
10. Ending use
You may stop using the Service and delete the app at any time. Deleting the app may not delete all iCloud data. Follow the Privacy Policy to delete data.
If you materially violate these Terms or applicable law in a way that harms the Service's security or rights, we may restrict the Service to the extent permitted by law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. We will provide reasonable advance notice of changes that materially affect your rights and update the effective date above. Your continued use after the change means the revised Terms apply. We will obtain consent when the law requires separate consent.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, the parties will first try to resolve it in good faith. Any unresolved dispute will be heard by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law, including Korean civil-procedure and consumer-protection law. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
